These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the StudyVerse mobile application and related services ("Service") provided by StudyVerse ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using StudyVerse, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use StudyVerse. By using our Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental consent to use the Service.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use StudyVerse only for lawful purposes. You must NOT:
- Use the Service to harass, bully, or harm other users.
- Share offensive, abusive, or inappropriate content in study groups.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or exploit the app or our servers.
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws.
4. Group Study Rooms
When creating or participating in group study rooms:
- You are responsible for the content you share within groups.
- Group creators are responsible for managing members and maintaining community standards.
- Invite codes must not be distributed maliciously or shared publicly without consent of the group creator.
- We reserve the right to remove any group that violates these Terms.
5. App Blocker Feature
The focus app blocker uses Android's Accessibility Service and Usage Access permissions to overlay distracting apps during study sessions. By enabling this feature:
- You grant StudyVerse permission to monitor which apps are in the foreground during an active focus session.
- This data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- You can disable this feature at any time through Android Settings.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, logos, and software within StudyVerse are the intellectual property of StudyVerse and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
StudyVerse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that study goals will be achieved. Use the Service at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyVerse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations accrued prior to termination.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of StudyVerse after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
